Consistent 4-year-old gelding Mr Extreme was a tough winner at Kembla Grange on Saturday at his third-up run of the campaign. The lightly raced son of Extreme Choice strung together two decent efforts at his two runs back this campaign and was coming into Saturday's run with fitness on his side. 

He certainly needed that fitness edge having dictated the race from the onset when setting a strong clip in the early and middle stages. After a reasonably fast run race, the long straight at Kembla Grange may have proved worrying for onlookers but he put it a gutsy effort to stick his nose out and take the race by a small margin on the line. 

Having had just the nine career starts, Mr Extreme is now a two-time winner and proving to be a consistent galloper for his connections.
